Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Oracle Database professional to lead our cloud migration initiatives. As a Manager/Lead Oracle DBA, you will be responsible for end-to-end migration lifecycle management, ensuring seamless transitions with zero/near-zero downtime and high availability.

About the Role:

  • Leverage strong hands-on experience in Oracle Exadata and Oracle Exadata Cloud@Customer (ExaCC) environments, including backup/recovery, replication, and monitoring.
  • Develop and execute migration strategies, methodologies, and best practices to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Plan, design, and execute database migrations across data centers, cloud setups, and Exadata environments.
  • Implement delta data synchronization strategies for near-zero downtime migration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee end-to-end database backup and recovery using Rubrik and RMAN.
  • Use Oracle Enterprise Manager for database performance monitoring, health checks, proactive alerting, migration tracking, and validation.
  • Collaborate with cloud architects, infrastructure teams, and application owners to ensure smooth migration with minimal business disruption.
  • Document migration runbooks, rollback procedures, and knowledge transfer.

Must-Have Skills:

  • 12+ years of Oracle Database experience with 5+ years in leadership/managerial roles overseeing database migration programs.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale Oracle migrations in multi-cloud, Exadata, and ExaCC environments.
  • Strong experience with Oracle Exadata administration, migration, and performance tuning, Oracle Exadata Cloud@Customer (ExaCC) implementation and management, and OEM for monitoring and migration validation.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud-native database solutions in AWS and Azure.
  • Experience in data purging, retention policies, and compliance for regulated environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting, performance tuning, and problem-resolution skills in Exadata/ExaCC environments.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management capabilities.
