Cloud Solutions Architect

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Solutions Architect to lead our cloud infrastructure efforts. As a Cloud Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable and secure cloud solutions using AWS.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Create proof-of-concepts (POCs) and prototypes of cloud solutions
  • Define integration design and security design for web services and enterprise component development
  • Work on networking and security topics as an AWS cloud administrator
  • Manage storage and work extensively on AWS-EKS
  • Develop and manage Docker images
  • Analyze cloud costs, make estimations, and apply best practices
  • Manage Kubernetes (k8s) system services and worker nodes
  • Collaborate with database administration and DBMS
  • Document and create design documents
  • Estimate requirements

Skill Requirements:

  • Minimum 7+ years of relevant experience with hands-on coding and ability to program independently
  • AWS Cloud certifications (AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional)
  • Strong Linux/UNIX experience
  • Hands-on experience in Terraform
  • Experience in AWS cloud platforms across a wide range of services
  • Experience in implementing AWS cloud security
  • Experience working with Postgres databases (desired)
  • Knowledge of load balancing, auto-scaling, and Route 53 for traffic management
  • Experience with network access control lists, VPC peering, AWS CloudWatch, AWS CloudTrail
  • Ability to design highly available and/or fault-tolerant architectures
  • Experience with open-source technologies and tools
  • Experience designing, developing, and deploying high-scale solutions in Kubernetes
  • Understanding of optimized coding for memory consumption, performance, scalability, security, caching, etc.
  • Experience working with scripting languages (YAML)
  • Experience with stateless/stateful applications deployed on Kubernetes in production environments
  • Experience working with AWS and Kubernetes APIs
  • Experience with reporting and analysis tools for cloud platforms
  • Experience in developing CI/CD pipelines from scratch

Preferred Skills:

  • Background in Java for API development

Required Expertise:

  • Strong development skills for Kubernetes SaaS applications
  • Kubernetes deployment, networking, and persistent storage
  • Kubernetes role-based access control (RBAC), UNIX RBAC, OpenID Connectors, RSA SSL keys, JWT, certificate management
  • Node, pod, and container runtime hardening
  • Knowledge of cloud design patterns for timeouts, delays, transient faults, cascading failures, and SaaS service overload
  • Experience with load balancing, DNS, and data caching techniques
  • Ability to instrument distributed applications for monitoring and troubleshooting
  • Use Terraform to manage environments
