Project Manager – Data Engineering

Description:

We are seeking a skilled professional to lead and deliver projects in data engineering and analytics. As a technical project manager, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and delivering technical projects on time, within scope, and with high-quality results.

  • Plan and Execute Projects:
  • You will develop a strong understanding of data pipelines, ETL/ELT, and analytics workflows, ensuring that projects meet the required standards.
  • Collaborate with Teams:
  • You will work closely with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and success metrics, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
  • Stay Up-to-Date:
  • You will stay current with cloud data platforms, developing strategies for implementation and optimization to drive business growth.
  • Lead Agile Ceremonies:
  • You will facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders, leading Agile ceremonies and promoting a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Manage Vendors:
  • You will manage third-party vendors or external contractors when applicable, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Advocate for Improvement:
  • You will advocate for continuous improvement in processes, tools, and team efficiency, driving excellence and innovation in all aspects of project management.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Education:
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field is required.
  • Experience:
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in project management within a technical environment is necessary.
  • Skills:
  • A strong understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Kanban, or Waterfall) is essential.
  • Proficient with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, Microsoft Project) is required.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills are crucial for success in this role.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Data Pipelines:
  • A strong understanding of data pipelines, ETL/ELT, and analytics workflows is necessary.
