Production Supervisor Job Description
">Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure production processes are executed in accordance with established plans and procedures.
- Manage resources required for production, including personnel, equipment, materials, and finances.
- Monitor production progress to guarantee timely completion of projects.
- Verify that production processes adhere to predetermined quality standards by conducting regular inspections and testing.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of workers and the environment by enforcing safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain optimal inventory levels of raw materials, semi-finished products, and finished goods to prevent production interruptions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-15 years of experience in freight car manufacturing.
- Proficiency in computer software programs, including Microsoft Office and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
- Knowledge of production processes and procedures, including welding, assembly, and testing.
Competencies:
- Wagon engineering and manufacturing process knowledge.
- Experience in executing large-scale production projects.
- Understanding of quality control and safety regulations in rail and heavy fabrication industries.
- Familiarity with industry-standard tools and technologies.
- Project management methodologies knowledge.
- Strong execution skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Problem-solving skills and decision-making ability.
- Team management and conflict resolution skills.
