Job Title: Culinary Assistant

About the Role:

  • Our organization seeks a skilled and motivated individual to fill the role of Culinary Assistant. The ideal candidate will have experience in preparing and cooking dishes of various cuisines.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for managing mise-en-place, daily food preparation, portion control, plating standards, and hygiene compliance.
  • In addition, the Culinary Assistant will train and supervise junior staff members in techniques, recipes, and kitchen safety.
  • The candidate will also monitor inventory, assist in requisitions, and maintain cleanliness and organization of the section.

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and maintain high standards of kitchen hygiene and sanitation.
  2. Prepare and cook dishes according to recipes and presentation guidelines.
  3. Assist in the training and supervision of junior staff members.
  4. Monitor inventory levels and assist in requisitioning necessary supplies.
  5. Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
