Job Title: Data Security Specialist

About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement effective data governance strategies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze and interpret data classification rules, identifying areas for improvement and developing targeted solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate BigID with various security tools and platforms.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive metadata management systems, ensuring seamless data lineage and cataloging.
  • Implement content inspection techniques and scripting automation to optimize data discovery and classification operations.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience with data discovery/classification tools, including BigID, Varonis, Informatica, or MIP.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, data privacy, and compliance regulations (GDPR, CCPA, SOX, SEBI).
  • Proficiency in configuring BigID policies, classifiers, data flows, and discovery and classification operations modules.
  • Experience working with structured and unstructured data sources, including RDBMS and cloud repositories.
  • Familiarity with metadata management, data catalogs, and data lineage concepts.
  • Scripting or automation experience (Python, PowerShell) is a plus.
