Agentic AI Technical Director

We are seeking a seasoned backend, platform, or systems engineering leader to spearhead the development of our pioneering agentic AI product.

This key role requires a proven track record in designing and scaling complex systems and APIs, with a deep understanding of Python or comparable backend languages in production environments.

The successful candidate will lead technical direction and platform execution, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful solutions into real-world hospital environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the architecture and development of our agentic AI platform.
  • Design scalable, reliable backend infrastructure that powers automation workflows.
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing, distributed engineering team.
  • Drive technical execution across short-term priorities and long-term strategic initiatives.
  • Operate with a startup mentality — high autonomy, high responsibility, and a bias toward shipping.

Requirements:

  • 7–10 years of experience in backend, platform, or systems engineering.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (Master's preferred or equivalent real-world experience).
  • Deep experience with data pipelines, distributed systems, and workflow orchestration.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make architecture decisions under ambiguity.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams.
