Job Title: Veterinary Nutraceutical Chemist

We are seeking a skilled chemist to join our team as a veterinary nutraceutical chemist. As a key member of our formulation and quality control team, you will be responsible for designing and optimizing formulations for pet health supplements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulation Design: Design and optimize formulations for dogs and cats syrups, tonics, and nutraceutical supplements.
  • Selecting Ingredients: Select suitable excipients, preservatives, flavors, and stabilizers that are safe for animals.
  • Small-Scale Batch Preparation: Lead small-scale batch preparation (mixing, filtration, filling, capping, labeling) for pet health supplements.
  • Training and Guidance: Train and guide the founder in step-by-step production.
  • Maintenance and Quality Control: Maintain hygiene and cleaning SOPs for pet product manufacturing, conduct basic QC tests (pH, clarity, taste/palatability, viscosity, appearance), and approve/reject incoming raw materials.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain stability samples and quality records, prepare and maintain Batch Manufacturing Records (BMRs), and ensure compliance with FSSAI/nutraceutical and veterinary supplement guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Education: B.Pharm / M.Pharm (preferred) OR M.Sc. Chemistry / M.Sc. Food Technology / Veterinary Science / Nutraceuticals.
  • Experience: 2–5 years in pet health supplements / veterinary nutraceuticals / animal syrups or tonic manufacturing.
  • Hands-on Experience: Must have hands-on experience in both formulation and QC for dogs and cats products.

Desired Skills:

  • Veterinary Knowledge: Strong knowledge of veterinary nutraceutical ingredients (vitamins, minerals, amino acids, herbal extracts safe for dogs and cats).
  • Syrup/Tonic Production: Practical experience with syrup/tonic production process (mixing → filtration → filling) for animal products.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Ability to work independently and teach/mentor, with good documentation habits (batch sheets, QC records).
