Job Title: Data Engineer

We are seeking a seasoned Data Engineering professional to join our team and play a key role in shaping the future of our organization by leveraging their skills in data warehousing and analytics to drive business growth.

Snowflake is a fast-paced, cloud-based platform that requires experienced professionals to design, build, and maintain complex data architectures. As a Data Engineer at our organization, you will be responsible for developing efficient ETL/ELT pipelines using Snowflake Tasks, Streams, and Stored Procedures to ensure seamless data integration and movement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • ETL/ELT Pipeline Development: Design, build, and maintain optimized ETL/ELT pipelines using Snowflake SQL and JavaScript stored procedures.
  • Data Modeling: Create efficient data models with clustering keys and micro-partitioning strategies to improve data query performance and reduce storage costs.
  • Real-time Ingestion and Data Lake Integration: Implement Snowpipe for real-time ingestion and external tables for data lake integration to support advanced analytics and machine learning initiatives.
  • Complex Transformations: Develop JavaScript/SQL stored procedures and UDFs for intricate transformations and data processing tasks.
  • Advanced SQL Queries: Write complex SQL queries with window functions, CTEs, and pivots to extract valuable insights from large datasets.
  • Warehouse Management and Cost Control: Manage multi-cluster warehouses and implement resource monitors to optimize cost control and ensure efficient resource utilization.
Requirements:
  • Snowflake Experience: Hands-on experience with Snowflake development, including knowledge of Snowflake SQL and basic JavaScript stored procedures.
  • Technical Skills: Strong working knowledge of Tasks, Streams, Stages, File Formats, Time Travel, dbt core concepts (models, sources, tests, snapshots), warehouse sizing, auto-suspend/resume, and query optimization.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
