Cloud Data Solutions Engineer

We are seeking a talented engineer to join our team and contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of scalable data solutions.

As a key member of our team, you'll work on cutting-edge technologies like PySpark, AWS Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, and more to power our data-driven decision-making.

  • Design and develop robust ETL pipelines using PySpark and AWS Glue for efficient data transformation.
  • Collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to ensure data quality and availability by working closely with cross-functional teams.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries for efficient data processing.
  • Utilize Git for version control and code collaboration to ensure seamless integration with the rest of the team.
  • Design and manage scalable data lakes using AWS S3 and related services for storing large amounts of data.
  • Work with Amazon DynamoDB and Redshift for high-performance data storage and retrieval.
  • Create interactive dashboards using Amazon QuickSight to provide real-time insights into business operations.
  • Automate workflows with AWS Step Functions, Lambda, and EventBridge to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
  • Monitor and optimize data workflows for performance and scalability by leveraging tools like CloudWatch and X-Ray.
  • Troubleshoot data issues and ensure timely resolution through effective communication and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications:
  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • Have strong hands-on experience with PySpark, Python, and SQL, with a focus on data engineering and analytics.
  • Be proficient in Git and AWS services, including Glue, S3, Lambda, Redshift, Athena, DynamoDB, etc., for efficient data management and processing.
  • Familiarity with Databricks and its ecosystem is a plus.
  • Possess excellent problem-solving and communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Skills:
  • Knowledge of data warehousing and data modeling principles to design and implement scalable data solutions.
  • Exposure to big data technologies like Hadoop and Spark for handling large datasets.
  • AWS certifications in data engineering are highly valued but not required.
