Cloud Network Software Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Network Software Engineer to join our team and help design, develop, and maintain next-generation cloud-managed networking software.

Job Summary:

  • This is a highly skilled role that involves the development of network-focused software with emphasis on control and management plane protocols.
  • The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of networking protocols and experience building distributed, cloud-native systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and implement network software using industry-standard protocols.
  2. Develop modules to work with network telemetry protocols and REST APIs for performance monitoring and analytics.
  3. Build software that leverages Layer 2 (L2) and Layer 3 (L3) networking protocols to improve visibility, management, and troubleshooting.
  4. Collaborate with cloud architects and backend developers to design and optimize cloud-managed networking solutions.
  5. Contribute to the development of fault-tolerant, distributed architectures, ensuring resilience and high availability.
  6. Implement real-time communication features using technologies like WebSockets.
  7. Utilize containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) to deploy and scale networking applications.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  2. Strong software development skills (Python, Go, C/C++) with proven experience building production systems.
  3. Solid understanding of network protocols across control, management, and data planes.
  4. Familiarity with L2/L3 concepts in a software development context.
  5. Knowledge of real-time communication frameworks.
  6. Experience deploying software in containers and Kubernetes clusters.
  7. Understanding of resilient system design, including redundancy and high availability.
