Job Overview

  • We are seeking an accomplished Pastry Team Member to manage the preparation of high-quality pastry and dessert menu items.
  • This role involves overseeing a station in the pastry galley, maintaining exceptional standards, and adapting to changing tasks as required.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for leading pastry and dessert production, setting up displays on buffets, and assisting with food transportation.
  • Strong emphasis is placed on maintaining a clean and sanitized working environment, adhering to USPH rules and regulations.
  • Mid-shift standby duties may occasionally be assigned for USPH purposes.
  • The ideal candidate will possess excellent knowledge of standard shipboard operations to effectively assist guests and crew members.
  • Frequent attendance at meetings, training activities, courses, and other work-related events is expected.
  • The selected individual will perform various duties as assigned by their supervisor or management.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • A minimum of two years' experience as a Pastry Cook in an upscale hotel, resort, cruise ship, or convention banqueting service (shipboard experience preferred).
  • Demonstrated expertise in proper cleaning techniques, equipment use, and maintenance.
  • Completion of high school or basic education equivalency requirement.
