About the Role
This role involves direct interaction with senior stakeholders and requires a strong background in managing risk within complex technological landscapes. Some of the key responsibilities include:
- Leading comprehensive assessments of risk across various technological domains, ensuring potential exposures are identified and effectively managed.
- Regularly updating and enhancing existing risk profiles or developing new profiles aligned with evolving business functions.
- Preparing in-depth risk documentation, capturing the broader risk ecosystem including controls, incidents, asset integrity, and exception handling.
- Applying expertise in IT frameworks such as Asset Lifecycle Management, ITIL operations, and industry standards around cybersecurity, data protection, and resilience.
- Serving as a strategic advisor to leadership, offering clear guidance on the risk posture and control framework.
- Evaluating the effectiveness of control measures and articulating their impact on the overall risk landscape.
- Reviewing and assessing technology changes before deployment to ensure appropriate controls are in place, risk levels are accurately classified, and required approvals are obtained.
Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in technology risk management.
- Proven experience in risk management within a technology or IT-driven environment.
- Demonstrated ability to author high-quality risk reports and engage effectively with senior business stakeholders.
- Familiarity with ITIL, cyber resilience, and data privacy frameworks.
- Skilled in providing consultative risk guidance to leadership and interpreting complex control environments.
- Solid understanding of asset management in a tech infrastructure context.
- Experience reviewing technology change processes, assessing control coverage, and facilitating risk ownership.
