Accounting Clerk Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our team. As an Accounting Clerk, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial records, maintaining organizational systems, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Record Keeping: Verify and maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries.
  • Organizational Systems: Develop and maintain efficient filing systems, both physical and digital, to ensure easy access to information.
  • Customer Service: Provide timely and professional support to internal and external customers, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a courteous and respectful manner.
Requirements:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Work Experience: At least 1 year of experience in accounting or a related field preferred.
  • Licenses/Certifications: None required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Education: Associate's degree or higher in accounting or a related field preferred.
  • Work Experience: At least 2 years of experience in accounting or a related field preferred.
  • Licenses/Certifications: Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or Certified Public Bookkeeper (CPB) certification preferred.
