Job Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned Data Governance specialist to drive the accuracy, completeness, and quality of data pipelines across various platforms. The ideal candidate will bring in-depth expertise in data governance principles and best practices to help establish trusted data foundations that fuel business intelligence and analytics.

This role is pivotal in supporting data governance efforts and enhancing our data architecture. We value collaboration and innovation in this key position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for assigned data domains.
  • Create & Maintain metadata, business glossary, and data catalog entries using DG tools like Collibra, Altion, Informatica or similar.
  • Collaborate with data owners to enforce data definitions, classifications, and data quality rules.
  • Perform data profiling, issue identification, and remediation coordination.
  • Support the onboarding of new data assets (cataloging, lineage, and stewardship assignments).
  • Assist in governance tool configuration, workflow management, and integration automation.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to support PII tagging, data masking, and access governance.
  • Provide training and support to stakeholders in using governance tools effectively.
  • Deploy the master data governance framework and leverage supporting data management tools.
  • Define data quality metrics and monitor data quality performance against established targets.
  • Conduct regular data governance reviews and provide recommendations for process improvements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in data governance, operations, and leadership.
  • Hands-on experience with Collibra (catalog, lineage, workflows, API integrations).
  • Experience with data management tools (e.g., data catalogs, MDM systems, data quality platforms).
  • Strong understanding of data quality, metadata management, and data classification practices.
  • Technical skills in SQL, Python/Java, REST APIs for tool integration and automation.
