Expert VFX Mentorship Opportunity

Imagia Studios, a rapidly expanding visual effects studio based in Indonesia, specializes in delivering high-quality visual effects for Japanese films. To enhance our expertise, we are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Supervisor with extensive experience in Hollywood film productions to mentor and direct our artists.

  • Provide comprehensive training in Houdini Software from basic to advanced levels, ensuring seamless understanding and application of the software.
  • Teach priority skills such as RBD Fracture Simulation, Cloth Simulation, Water Simulation, Fire Simulation, Crowd Simulation, Grain Simulation, and Plant Instance Simulation to optimize artist performance.
  • Guide artists in creating convincing Lookdev results that meet client expectations.
  • Ensure smooth integration between Houdini and Autodesk Maya or Blender, streamlining the production process.
  • Enhance individual skills of in-house VFX Artists through effective teaching and mentoring techniques.
  • Share global cinema experience as a VFX Artist to foster creative growth.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a VFX Supervisor for film, animation, or TV series.
  • Deep understanding of the overall VFX workflow and production process.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working with Houdini.
  • In-depth knowledge of compositing principles (Nuke preferred).
  • Basic knowledge of the Blender workflow is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of 3D modeling, lighting, and rendering techniques in Maya or Houdini.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Artistic skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Enthusiasm and creativity.
  • Proficiency in English language.
