Job Title: Senior Software Developer - Data Analysis

The company seeks a skilled Senior Software Developer to provide programming support to the statistics and programming department. This role involves manipulating large databases and generating reports to enable analysts to explore real-world healthcare data assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop complex analysis data sets derived from various data sources with careful attention to outliers and errors.
  • Implement advanced statistical methods, such as survival and regression.
  • Utilize SAS or R programming languages, with R preferred, for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Analyze and interpret real-world healthcare claims and EHR data, including MarketScan, Optum, and Medicare databases.
  • Collaborate with internal and client team members to develop innovative solutions.
  • Line management or mentorship of more junior team members.
  • Contribute to development of internal training materials.
  • Participate in internal process improvement initiatives.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Statistics, Mathematics, or other subject with high statistical content.
  • At least 7-8 years of experience with SAS statistical programming.
  • Database programming using SQL.
  • Experience with advanced statistical methods, such as survival and regression.
  • Expertise in R and SQL programming is necessary.
  • Familiarity with Analytic Datasets and patient cohorts is advantageous.
