Job Title

A highly skilled and experienced Mainframe Developer with deep expertise in COBOL, DB2, and stored procedures is required to design, develop, and optimize mainframe applications that are critical to business operations.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain COBOL programs and DB2 stored procedures.
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into efficient technical solutions within the mainframe ecosystem.
  • Perform detailed database analysis and implement robust data access mechanisms.
  • Develop and support DB2 batch processing jobs using JCL.
  • Write efficient SQL and embedded SQL for high-performance data access.
  • Conduct performance tuning and optimization of mainframe programs and SQL queries.
  • Utilize BMC tools and Omegamon for monitoring and performance diagnostics.
  • Interact with MQ Series for messaging and integration with other systems.
  • Utilize ISPF/TSO for application development and debugging.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Mainframe Development experience with strong focus on stored procedures
  • Proficiency in COBOL and DB2
  • Expertise in : Structured Query Language (SQL), Embedded SQL, Stored Procedure Development, DB2 Batch Programming (Large/Small scale)
  • Experience with : BMC tools, Omegamon, JCL, ISPF/TSO, Performance Tuning, IBM MQ Series
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of relevant mainframe development experience
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
