Senior Design Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Senior Design Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing plastic trims on vehicles using CATIA V5, collaborating with the structures team to define mounting strategies for trims, and coordinating testing teams for validation of components.
Maintenance and conducting FMEA for plastic trims and associated parts is also a critical aspect of this role. Additionally, the ideal candidate will conduct tolerance stack up analysis to meet fit and finish requirements and liaise between industrial design and body works teams for engineering solutions.
The successful candidate will draft, release, and maintain drawings of plastic trims in 3Ds PLM and coordinate cross-functional teams to conclude on the best-suited engineering solution.
Ideal Candidate- A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in plastic design for two-wheeler or four-wheeler products.
- Proficiency in PLM platforms like 3Ds.
- Understanding of Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), and Design for Serviceability (DFS).
- Familiarity with injection moulding processes and manufacturing aspects.
- Basic understanding of plastic mould flow analysis.
- Knowledge of engineering plastic material selection and properties.
