Mission & Responsibilities

Ensure high-performance backend systems with zero downtime, accelerate feature delivery, and create prototypes for new product ideas through the implementation of cutting-edge technologies.

  • Define service boundaries, validate data stores, and choose architectures to minimize latency and contention.
  • Design indexes, implement caching layers, and optimize queries for efficient system performance.
  • Build scenario-based tests to reveal bottlenecks, establish baseline metrics, and measure changes before/after optimizations.
  • Instrument services with metrics and distributed tracing for root cause analysis.

Feature Delivery & Prototyping

Break the system into clear services or modules, define stable APIs, automate phased rollouts, and extract common patterns into reusable packages for efficient feature development.

  • Run quick design sessions with product and front-end teams to nail down API shape and workflows.
  • Gather developer pain-points regularly and iterate on processes to remove blockers.
  • Ensure new features don't regress performance and set up lightweight smoke tests to catch common misconfigurations.

Requirements & Qualifications

Experience in building SaaS platforms, ideally having contributed to a 0-1 journey and supported a growing SaaS product.

  • Proficient in backend development with strong knowledge of NodeJS, TypeScript, and Python.
  • Proven expertise in architecting data-heavy scalable systems using cost-effective methods on Azure.
  • Knowledge of Vercel AI SDK architecture and proven experience in implementing it.
