Job Description

The Economic Model Coordinator plays a critical role in developing and maintaining up-to-date planning and scheduling models that provide a fit-for-purpose representation of the refinery/base chemical capabilities and constraints.

As a key member of the team, the Economic Model Coordinator works collaboratively with economists, schedulers, technologists, and operations to ensure the integrity of the models and the quality of the output.

Key Responsibilities
  • Basic Data: Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with agreed Health, Safety, and Environment practices and procedures as outlined in the Asset Management System (AMS) Forecast Plan and Production (FPP) Procedures and Work Instructions.
  • Crude Intelligence: Update planning and scheduling models with crude oil assay data consistent with information used by Trading for pricing.
  • Planning: Serve as the custodian of the planning/PIMS/LP model (operational and long-term models), responsible for its integrity.
  • Scheduling: Update scheduling/APS model/s as necessary based on results of basic data analysis and additional inputs from schedulers.
Requirements
  • Engineering degree or equivalent, with relevant refinery oil and gas experience.
  • Minimum 5 years experience either in refinery planning and scheduling space working with planning tools or Software Industry associated with developing product and tools for Refinery Planning and Scheduling space.
  • Has deep knowledge around the utilization of hydrocarbon and refinery economic value drivers.
  • Able to demonstrate commercial mindset to identify and drive margin opportunities to delivery.
