Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

We are seeking a talented Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design scalable systems with a startup mindset while valuing fast, data-driven innovation. Our culture fosters collaboration across Tech to ensure platforms and services are production-ready.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Help grow our systems into best-in-class for efficiency, stability, observability, velocity, and scale in the e-commerce space.
  • Influence the design and architecture of the system as part of the Cloud Enablement journey, maintaining critical legacy tools.
  • Work with software engineers and platform Engineers to optimize and develop repeatable systems.
  • Help service owners build realistic Service Level Objectives (SLOs), set Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and error budgets, ensuring reliability in production services.
  • Provide production support, solving challenging engineering problems across our stack.
  • Mentor new hires and other engineers through example, tech talks, paired programming, and other avenues.

Responsibilities include collaborating with product and engineering teams from Day 1 to design, build, and maintain the system/software proactively.

Requirements:
  • 6+ years of experience in DevOps or SRE roles, or software development, with an understanding of cloud infrastructure.
  • Experience with cloud platforms GCP, AWS, Azure, and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Server-side software engineering skills (Python, Go, Java, BASH, etc.).
  • Design experience with distributed systems, microservices architecture, and related technologies.
  • Strong understanding of monitoring and alerting, focusing on performance monitoring and tracing instrumentation.
  • Experience with decoupling monolith services is a plus.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Excellent communication skills across engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders.
