Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Structural Design Engineer-Oil to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural design engineering and experience working on petrochemical plants, oil & gas plants.

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for performing basic and detail design engineering activities in accordance with established procedures.
  • They will prepare and review PFD, P&ID's, project specific specifications, design calculations/analysis, procurement specifications.
  • Additionally, they will interface with other disciplines, user departments, and clients.
  • Estimate and conduct engineering work related to bids.

Responsibilities

  • Qualification - Bachelor/Master's degree in civil and structural engineering.
  • Skills Required - STAAD Pro, ETABS, SAP, STAAD Foundation (preferable).
  • Conversant with StaadPro and SAP software.
  • Conversant with FEM-based connection design tools like Ideastatica.
  • Working knowledge of Auto Cad and other 3D tools like Tekla structure, Navisworks, SPR, etc.
  • Jacket and topside pre-service analysis.
  • Jacket impact analysis.
  • Jacket and topside fatigue analysis.
  • Pile drivability analysis.
  • Preparing load calculations and loading sketches.
  • Basic knowledge of industrial architecture, PHE, and roadways.
  • Hands-on experience and knowledge of structural steel/reinforced concrete design and detailing of process/non-process buildings, machine foundations, pipe rack, factory buildings, etc.
  • Experience in international codes and standards is preferable.
  • Responsible for quality checks and quality assurance of reviewed drawings.

Key Skills

  • Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team including process, mechanical, structural, electrical, instrumentation, and piping.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with team members from project management, estimating, and project controls.
  • Strong organizational skills, technical competence, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to provide supporting design calculations.
  • Must have experience in independently reviewing analysis files.
  • Must hold strong knowledge of strength, buckling, fatigue, and dynamic behavior of structures.
  • Familiarity with the following will be considered as an additional advantage;
  • 3D environment working with software such as SP3D, TEKLA.
  • Team lead in medium to large-size relevant projects.
  • Process knowledge and ability to develop teams.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to produce coherent, self-explanatory reports such as technical documents, market research analysis, and business advisory.
