Job Title: Structural Engineer-Industrial Steel Structure

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in industrial steel structural design engineering, with a strong understanding of oil & gas, power plant, mining, and petrochemicals projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Reviewing and detailing structural designs for industrial steel structures, including pipe racks, equipment support steel structures, exhaust stack support steel structures, access platforms, staircases, ladders, and steel structural members.
  • Collaborating with detail engineering teams to ensure feasibility and fabrication details.
  • Coordinating with clients, approval authorities, and other disciplines to resolve general queries and comments.
  • Executing engineering activities within agreed schedules and timelines.
Desired Characteristics:
  • Proven experience in steel structure pipe rack, equipment support steel structure, exhaust stack support steel structure, access platforms, staircase, ladder steel structural member size design, and steel connection design.
  • Familiarity with STAAD Pro, RAM Connection, Duct/Pipe Support Deflection Calculation, AUTOCAD, and additional knowledge in ANSYS (FEA).
  • Problem-solving skills, ability to work in teams, and good experienced in performing steel structural analysis and design of equipment support structures, exhaust stack support structures, skid/module base frame structures, pipe racks, access platforms pipe/duct supports, crane pedestals/hoists, and stair towers.
Analysis/Calculations Capabilities Include:
  • Lifting lugs/pad eyes, spreader frames & bars.
  • In-place lifting, transit, vessel impact/collision, and seismic.
  • Bolted/welded steel connections, nodes, joints, and local FEM checks.
  • Vessel/bin/hopper/barge deck strength checks.
  • Detailed buckling checks on shell/plated structures.
  • Weight and centre of gravity calculations, material take off.
Knowledge in American, Canadian, Euro, Norsk & British Codes in Design of Steel Structures.

Candidates should hold a B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech degree in Mechanical Engineering from a reputable college/university.

A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in industrial steel structural design engineering is required.
