At Brands Scaleup, we're seeking a talented Fashion Designer to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you'll be responsible for creating innovative and stylish sportswear and athleisure collections that meet the demands of active lifestyles.
Key Responsibilities:- Design & Development: Create designs for sportswear and athleisure collections, ensuring alignment with our brand's identity and market trends.
- Research & Trend Analysis: Conduct market research and competitive analysis to stay updated on current trends, materials, and technologies within the sportswear industry.
- Product Development: Oversee all stages of product development, including sketching, material selection, prototyping, and sampling.
- Production Coordination: Manage the production timeline from concept to final product, coordinating with suppliers, factories, and vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective production.
- Trims & Accessories: Source and handle trims, fabrics, and accessories, ensuring they meet quality standards and align with the design vision.
- Vendor Management: Liaise with vendors and factories to ensure the delivery of high-quality products, negotiating costs and overseeing quality control.
- Technical Packages: Prepare and maintain technical specifications, ensuring accurate communication of design and production details to manufacturers.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing and sales teams to ensure designs are aligned with market needs and customer feedback.
- 2-4 years of experience in apparel design and merchandising, preferably in the sportswear/athleisure category.
- Strong understanding of garment construction, textiles, trims, and production processes.
- Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop) and tech pack creation.
- Excellent communication and vendor management skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Detail-oriented with a creative mindset and a passion for sportswear fashion.
