Job Description

Director of Analytics:

  • This leadership position will play a crucial role in the growth of our data science group at Sigmoid.
  • You will be an integral part of the core team that works towards driving business outcomes through data analytics.
  • As a leader, you will nurture a diverse team, including activities such as hiring, guiding, and evaluating performance.
  • Leverage thought leadership to design solutions that solve complex problems for customers, thereby growing accounts.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead a team of Data Analysts and provide strategic guidance to drive business outcomes.
  • In the client services space, you will need to deep dive into customer problems and identify use cases that can represent opportunities to develop scalable and business-ready data analytics platforms.
  • You will partner with the firm-wide Data Engineering and other teams to develop and deploy production-quality code and establish governance for sustained performance and outcome of developed platforms.
  • Recruit and onboard team members; directly manage 15-20 team members.
  • You will own customer deliverables and ensure, along with project managers, that project schedules are in line with expectations set to customers.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree (BE/BTech-CS) from Tier I/II universities like IITs/NITs preferred.
  • 15+ years of overall experience with a minimum of 10+ years in data analytics execution.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities.
  • Highly analytical with the ability to collate, analyze, and present data and drive clear insights to lead decisions that improve KPIs.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and manage relationships with senior management, other departments, and partners.
  • Experience in Python, PySpark will be an advantage.
  • Experience in at least one visualization platform such as Tableau, QlikView, Spotfire, Metabase, or ReDash.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize conflicting requirements.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience in influencing senior stakeholders, whether business or technical.
  • Strong background in algorithms and data structures.
  • Experience working in sectors of CPG, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Marketing.
  • 4+ years of hands-on management experience.
  • Process Improvement or Project Management experience.
  • Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Python, QlikView, SQL, Tableau, NumPy, pandas.
