About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned cloud expert to lead our Azure financial management initiatives and drive operational excellence on the Azure platform.

This role will shape cloud service strategies, lead research and proof of concepts (POCs), and provide opinionated insights to influence offerings and internal best practices.

The ideal candidate brings deep Azure expertise, cost optimization skills, and a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and optimize Azure subscriptions and resources, ensuring cost efficiency and proper utilization.
  • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards using Azure Cost Management data and exports.
  • Implement and manage Azure-native dashboards (Azure Advisor, budgets, cost recommendations).
  • Lead large-scale Azure migration and modernization engagements, managing end-to-end lifecycle and program governance.

Responsibilities include designing secure, scalable, efficient, and cost-optimized Azure solutions, balancing trade-offs across requirements, speed, cost, and reliability.

Azure Engineers should have experience with Cloud Optimization and be delivering Cloud services to multiple customers. Within Cloud Optimization area, they should demonstrate experience with Cloud Migration and Cloud Optimization.

Desired Skills:

Must Have

  • Proven track record in Azure FinOps and cost optimization.
  • Strong expertise across Azure services (VMs, Blob Storage, SQL DB, AKS, Functions, Azure OpenAI).
  • Hands-on with Azure Cost Management, Advisor, Budgets.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell/Python scripting for automation.

Good to Have

  • Experience with third-party FinOps tools (CloudHealth, Apptio Cloudability, Flexera One, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of Azure governance and compliance (Policies, Blueprints, Management Groups).

Requirements:

Minimum 7+ years in cloud operations with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
