Data Engineering Contract Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our team on a contract basis. As a key member of our data engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing large-scale data systems that meet the needs of our organization.

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will have strong Postgres SQL expertise, including advanced query writing, CTEs, window functions, indexing, and optimization. They will also have experience with data modeling, including star schema, facts, and dimensions. Additionally, they should be familiar with semi-structured data handling, such as json/jsonb in Postgres, and have experience preparing data for dashboards using Tableau.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Data Modeling: Strong understanding of data modeling principles, including star schema, facts, and dimensions.
  • Postgres SQL Expertise: Advanced query writing skills, including CTEs, window functions, indexing, and optimization.
  • Semi-Structured Data Handling: Experience working with semi-structured data, including json/jsonb in Postgres.
  • ETL/ELT Tools: Familiarity with ETL/ELT tools, including Airbyte.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
