CNC Programmer: Expert Machinist

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine to produce high-quality machined parts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Program mills and lathes by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches;
• Calculate requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry;
• Prove part programs;
• Maintain quality and safety standards; keep records; maintain equipment and supplies;
• Plan stock inventory by checking stock to determine amount available; anticipating needed stock; placing and expediting orders for stock; verifying receipt of stock.

About Your Skills:

• Detailed understanding of CNC machining principles;
• Ability to write and modify complex NC code;
• Familiarity with CNC machine tools and processes;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Excellent communication and record-keeping skills;
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
