Job Title: Technician Machinist

Goltens is seeking a skilled Technician Machinist to join our team. As a key member of our workshop, you will be responsible for performing various machining tasks, including inspection, measuring, and handling day-to-day activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform inspection, measuring, and handling of day-to-day activities at the workshop, including lathe work, drilling, grinding, and other tasks.
  • Operate and maintain various machining equipment, including lathe, drilling machine, and grinding machine.
  • Communicate effectively with superiors and colleagues to ensure smooth workflow and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Maintain the workshop and plant equipment in good order, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Ensure all testing and monitoring equipment/instruments are identified and maintained in good order at all times.
  • Read and interpret drawings, manuals, and code specifications to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Improve operational efficiency through effective control of resources and managing quality and delivery time/deadlines.
  • Minimize claims, reworks, and customer complaints by maintaining high-quality work and adhering to quality systems and requirements.
  • Closing of jobs as per timelines without any customer complaints.
  • Ensure adherence to all quality systems and requirements.
  • Develop and implement safety systems and standards to create a safe working environment.
Requirements:
  • Technical qualification, ITI/Diploma is preferred.
  • 2 to 5 years of machining experience.
  • Adequate computer literacy is essential. CAD operating skill will be an added advantage.
  • Fluent in local language and English.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Demonstrate ability to handle work professionally, independently, and efficiently.
  • Continuous improvement mindset.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Good team player with good attitude, integrity, interpersonal, organization, and time management skills.
