Job Title:

Senior Web Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced software developer to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Ruby on Rails, with a minimum of 4-6 years of hands-on experience.

They should have a solid understanding of object-oriented programming concepts, as well as expertise in PostgreSQL and ActiveRecord.

The selected candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining efficient, scalable, and reliable web applications.

A working knowledge of React and Google Cloud Platform is a significant advantage.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop robust and scalable web applications using Ruby on Rails.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices (TDD, code reviews, continuous integration, etc.).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
  • Ensure high performance and responsiveness of applications.
  • Debug and troubleshoot production issues.
  • Take ownership of your deliverables and ensure timely completion.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 4+ years of experience in Ruby on Rails development.
  • Strong understanding and practical experience with ActiveRecord.
  • Excellent grasp of OOP principles and design patterns.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Proven experience in writing clean, well-tested, and maintainable code.
  • Ability to work both independently and as a part of a team.
  • Good communication skills and a proactive approach to work.
Preferred/Bonus Skills:
  • Experience or working knowledge of React.js or other front-end frameworks.
  • Familiarity with GCP (Google Cloud Platform) and cloud-native application development.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with background job processing (e.g., Sidekiq) and real-time features (e.g., ActionCable).
