Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our team as a Backend Developer. This individual will design, develop, and implement data pipelines, integrations, and backend systems.

  • Data Pipelines:

    • Design and develop data pipelines for crawling, parsing, deduplication, and embeddings using Azure Functions/container jobs, retry/backoff, and dead-letter queues.

  • External Systems Integration:

    • Connect external systems and interfaces through integrations with HR4YOU, SerpAPI, BA job board, email/SMTP, and other platforms.

Required Skills:

  • Backend Development: Proficiency in Python (FastAPI, pydantic, httpx/requests) and solid TypeScript for smaller services/SDKs.
  • Azure Expertise: Knowledge of Azure Functions/Container Apps or AKS jobs, Storage/Blob, Key Vault, Monitor/Log Analytics.
  • Messaging Skills: Understanding of Service Bus/Queues, idempotence, and exactly-once semantics.
  • Databases Knowledge: Familiarity with PostgreSQL, pgvector, query design, and performance tuning.
  • ETL/ELT Patterns: Experience with clean ETL/ELT patterns, testability (pytest), and observability (OpenTelemetry).

Nice-to-have Skills:

  • NLP/IE Experience: Knowledge of NLP/IE concepts and tools like spaCy/regex/rapidfuzz and document parsing (pdfminer/textract).
  • API-First Development: Understanding of API-first development approach, clean code principles, trunk-based development, and mandatory code reviews.
  • Cloud Technologies: Experience with GitHub, GitHub Actions/Azure DevOps, Docker, pnpm/Turborepo, Jira/Linear, Notion/Confluence.
