In a highly competitive market like Australia, most comparators provide basic directory solutions. However, CIMET identified this opportunity and developed an integrated online comparison and sign-up platform, making it a leader in the industry.

CIMET partnered with iSelect, which acquired a 49% stake in CIMET Holdings on March 15, 2022. This investment enabled CIMET to expand into new products, including credit cards, home loans, car loans, personal loans, life insurance, health insurance, and pet insurance.

Our team of experts works tirelessly to ensure seamless integration of user-facing elements with server-side logic, resulting in high-quality web applications that meet our customers' evolving needs.

Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities
  • We are seeking a skilled Full Stack Developer to join our team, responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality web applications using PHP frameworks like Laravel and Lumen.
  • The ideal candidate will collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic, ensuring seamless user experience.
  • Design and implement RESTful APIs for various applications, ensuring optimal performance and responsiveness.
  • Conduct unit testing and debugging of applications to ensure functionality and reliability.
  • Handle complex module development, ensuring scalability and maintainability of code.
  • Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers.
  • Utilize version control systems (Git) for managing codebase changes effectively.
  • Work with database technologies like MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB to design efficient data storage solutions.
Professional Attributes
  • A proven track record of API development, ensuring robust communication between different software components.
  • Strong understanding of unit testing principles to maintain code quality.
  • Ability to handle complex module development tasks independently or as part of a team.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and resolve problems on non-routine matters.

Experience & Capabilities

Qualification: Degree or similar qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Coding.

Experience: Minimum 2+ years of commercial experience with PHP Laravel, JavaScript, MongoDB, MySQL, and GraphQL.

Must have skills: PHP Laravel and JavaScript.

  • PHP: Strong knowledge of core PHP along with experience in Laravel and Lumen frameworks.
  • JavaScript: Proficiency in NodeJS, ReactJS, and GraphQL for building interactive web applications.
  • Database Management: Experience working with MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB databases.
  • Version Control: Familiarity with Git for version control management.
