Job Opportunity

The Chief Technology Officer will lead digital transformation at our organization, enabling growth across India and beyond over the next 3 years.

This strategic leadership position will own and lead the establishment of a solid IT foundation to support growth and differentiate in the market.

The CTO will define the vision, roadmap, architecture, and implementation of digital transformation and establish a lean operations model.

  • Develop and implement a digital transformation strategy in alignment with our business objectives.
  • Position us as a thought leader in industry forums and create visibility – own innovation charter across the organization.
  • Advise our senior management team on emerging technologies and digital trends that are most relevant to our goals and evolving needs.
  • Define futuristic IT architecture focused on experience-led customer/employee centric systems – delivering a seamless omni-channel experience across sales and service.

Key responsibilities include:

Digital Transformation Leadership
  • Lead and mentor our IT department, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Recruit, hire, and motivate a high-performing IT team that values transparency and accountability.
Retail Digital Innovation
  • Drive the adoption of cutting-edge retail technologies to enhance the customer experience, including e-commerce, mobile apps, CRM systems, and in-store technologies.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, evaluating their potential impact on our business.
Data Management and Insights
  • Develop and implement data governance and data management strategies.
  • Utilize data analytics to provide insights into customer behavior, sales trends, and operational efficiencies.
Vendor and Stakeholder Management
  • Manage relationships with external vendors, ensuring the delivery of high-quality IT products and services.
  • Negotiate contracts and service level agreements to achieve cost-effective solutions.
IT Governance and Compliance
  • Establish and enforce IT policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and security protocols.
IT Operations
  • Oversee the design, development, and implementation of IT systems, applications, and infrastructure to support business operations.
  • Manage the integration of new technologies and systems into our existing IT environment.

The ideal candidate has over 20 years of experience in IT/tech, preferably in retail organizations or services companies, with end-to-end responsibilities for enterprises. Required skills include experience in digital transformation, omnichannel systems, DevOps transformation, process transformation, AI, and automation technologies. Strong communication skills, deep understanding of technology and architecture concepts, and team building and management skills are essential.
