Job Title: Virtual Accounting Specialist

This is a customer-facing role that requires interacting with clients using state-of-the-art video communication software. You will have access to virtual tools and resources, as well as opportunities to collaborate with experts and provide updates on assigned customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and manage client calls with high attention to detail, quickly accessing necessary information to process client work.
  • Meet efficient deadlines and process client work according to the service agreement.
  • Create high-quality customer interactions and experiences, instilling confidence through deep customer empathy and expertise.
  • Evaluate and manage complex bookkeeping problems, such as financial statements errors, chart of accounts cleanup, sales tax issues, unsolved A/P and/or A/R, payroll issues, merchant services, and third-party interaction concerns/questions.
  • Utilize strong organizational skills to ensure timely client follow-up and communication.
  • Prepare and review financial statements and workpapers.
  • Perform domain expert services (bookkeeping/accounting).
  • Review information input by customers for accuracy.
  • Research regulations to support guidance.
Requirements:
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient with technology; solid knowledge of computer operations and software.
  • Must have a dedicated high-speed internet connection.
  • High degree of customer service skills - ability to interact with customers through video and audio tools in a professional, friendly, and reassuring manner.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced virtual environment with minimal supervision.
  • Critical thinking, problem-solving, and determination.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills (written & spoken) is a plus.
  • Experience: 3+ years bookkeeping/accounting experience.
  • This position requires QuickBooks Online knowledge, a minimum of 1 year of experience working within QuickBooks Online.
  • Degree: 4-year degree preferred.
  • Credentials/Certifications: QuickBooks Online Pro Certification Required. CPA and/or CPB is preferred.

The estimated salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
