Accountabilities:

  • Production, detailing, and verification of BIM models and highway drawings, including general arrangement, plan profiles, cross-sections, standard details, site clearance, and corridors for highway projects in 2D and 3D.
  • Perform quality assurance checks on deliverables to ensure CAD/BIM standard compliance and other project-specific elements, including layers, styles, title blocks, naming conventions, and text parameters.
  • Take responsibility for technical quality assurance and client feedback, ensuring effective communication of changes and modifications.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with other disciplines to mitigate design challenges.
  • Proactively engage with regional offices and teams to resolve issues and build strong relationships with project colleagues.
  • Liaise with and assist design professionals and BIM Managers/Coordinators.
  • Adhere to schedules, quality checks, and PCRA requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with other design disciplines to ensure the integrity of the overall design.
  • Adhere to BIM Execution Plans and project workflow criteria.
  • Follow BIM content standards and development procedures.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD/MicroStation, Civil 3D/Open Roads for BIM model preparation and drawing.
  • Good understanding of relevant BIM authoring tools.
  • General understanding of interoperability between software used for discipline tasks.
  • Knowledge of Design Automation (Scripting, LISP, VBA, .NET, Dynamo, etc.).
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.
Qualifications & Experience:

ITI Drafting/Diploma in Civil Engineering/BE Civil from a recognized University.

4+ years of relevant experience.
