About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly skilled professional to take on a challenging role and contribute to the success of our organization.

Job Description:

The Senior Procurement Specialist will be responsible for managing procurement activities across various departments, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures. Key responsibilities include developing partnering relationships with stakeholders, acting as a sourcing agent, mediator, and negotiator, processing procurement requisitions through Vendor Management Systems, and performing analysis to identify cost savings opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop partnering relationships with stakeholders to understand their historical and projected buying needs.
  2. Act as a sourcing agent, mediator, negotiator, and SOW author to support competitive bidding processes.
  3. Process procurement requisition activity through Vendor Management Systems.
  4. Analyze data to identify cost savings opportunities and improve operational processes.
  5. Evaluate SOW agreement terms for best practice quality, conformity, and compliance.
  6. Provide training and updates on program-related Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to suppliers and client stakeholders.
  7. Communicate program procedural changes and updates to suppliers and clients in a timely manner.
  8. Confirm suppliers manage employee onboarding, relations issues, and offboarding activities.
  9. Provide and analyze standard program reporting to stakeholders.
  10. Establish and maintain proactive working relationships with stakeholders through regular contact.
  11. Support Operational Leadership to ensure financial goals and objectives are met or exceeded.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • University/Postgraduate degree or equivalent professional & intellectual ability.
  • Demonstrable procurement/commercial experience and a career track record measured by customer satisfaction, increased responsibilities, and working relationships with colleagues and management.
  • Skilled in communicating effectively verbally and in writing, both in one-on-one and group presentation settings with various levels of professionals both internal and external.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Ability to represent the organization professionally and effectively as required.
