Senior HVAC System Designer

Job Opportunity:

This position requires a highly skilled professional with expertise in ASHRAE/ISHRAE standards and knowledge of high-rise residential, commercial, and hospitality projects. The role involves calculating heating and cooling needs, designing HVAC systems, and proposing new products and technologies.

Key responsibilities include techno-commercial evaluation, energy saving measures, and ventilation requirements. Additionally, this role involves working closely with architects, engineers, and other teams to ensure seamless design and construction.

• Preparation of HVAC duct routes and equipment layouts in Revit/BIM
• Detailing of duct routes and BOM preparation in Revit/BIM
• Preparation of all HVAC drawings using Revit/BIM software
• Preparation of BOQ/estimate/technical specification/approved make along with takeoff sheets
• Preparation of tender drawings, specifications, and BOM for floating tenders
• Technical evaluation of tenders and rating/recommendation of vendors
• Conduct of quality checks and inspections at site during different stages of construction
• Obtainment of LEED/IGBC certification for the building
• Review of shop drawings and technical data sheets
• Maintenance of documentation of all design materials and drawings
• Handing over inspection as per requirements
• Use of specialized software to create design and drawings of products
• Preparation of equipment manual/maintenance booklet for site team
• Development of as-built drawings with in-house team

Construction Administration:

• Evaluation of test reports and oversee of construction of HVAC systems of all projects
• Review of equipment and material submittals
• Assistance and resolution of HVAC issues during/after construction
• Complete construction visits and address issues with regard to HVAC systems

Compliance:

• Compliance with all relevant standards and procedures
• Ensure compliance with project timeline

Communication & Collaboration:

• Communicate and coordinate with teams and departments to aid in architectural and engineering design
• Engage with other teams during the design and construction period

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 10+ years experience OR Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 7+ years experience
• Working knowledge of Revit
