Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Road Safety Expert to lead our efforts in improving urban mobility and road safety in India.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating road safety strategies across the state, working closely with government stakeholders, urban and rural authorities, law enforcement agencies, consultants, and community groups.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and review the State Road Safety Policy and Action Plan.
  • Advise on alignment of state initiatives with national road safety frameworks and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
  • Develop guidelines and standards for safe road infrastructure, signage, and traffic management.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, candidates must have:

  • A Master's degree in Transportation Planning/Engineering, Urban Planning, Urban Design, Public Policy, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in mobility and/or road safety in India.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing successful urban mobility programs.
  • Strong understanding of Indian policies, laws, and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Auto Cad, GIS, Photoshops, and data analysis tools.
