Performance Testing Role

Job Summary:

  • Assist in the execution and monitoring of various performance tests, including load, stress, scalability, and endurance tests, based on established test plans and scenarios. Collect and analyze key performance metrics from multiple sources to identify potential bottlenecks and areas for improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and report performance issues within applications and infrastructure by analyzing response times, throughput, resource utilization, and error rates.
  • Collaborate with development, quality assurance, and operations teams to diagnose root causes and implement remediation efforts.
  • Accurately document all phases of performance testing, including test plans, executed scenarios, test results, performance observations, and initial analytical findings.
  • Prepare clear and concise reports highlighting performance trends, risks, and recommendations for optimization.
  • Maintain existing performance test scripts and make minor modifications as required to adapt to application changes or new test requirements.

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in standard performance testing tools, including JMeter, LoadRunner, and NeoLoad.
  • Understanding of core performance testing concepts, including different types of performance tests, KPIs, and workload modeling.
  • Basic data collection and analysis capabilities.

Preferred Skills:

  • Hands-on experience with Java programming, beneficial for developing custom components, scripting logic, or performing basic code analysis.
  • Direct experience with JMeter for developing, executing, and analyzing performance test scripts.
  • Familiarity with basic debugging or profiling tools to assist in performance bottleneck identification.
