Product Manager for Developer Tools

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Product Manager to lead the development of our internal software tools.

In this role, you will be responsible for discovering, defining, and establishing an internal product portfolio to support developers throughout various stages of software development.

Your main tasks include:

  • Initiating and guiding new product developments to form a low code/no code tool portfolio that streamlines the internal software development process.
  • Creating user stories, working closely with development, operations, and QA teams to ensure the tools meet their needs.
  • Innovating and thinking creatively to develop tools that significantly enhance the development process.
  • Ensuring the quality experienced by internal customers and maintaining profitability and commercial optimization in a platform-as-a-product mindset.
  • Working in interdisciplinary agile teams to adapt to changing needs and incorporate continuous feedback iteration.
  • Staying updated with the latest technologies and best practices in software development to incorporate into the internal tool's development.

Requirements:

  • A university degree with a focus on software engineering or a comparable qualification and 7+ years of professional experience in digital product management, preferably in tool and platform development.

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong understanding or hands-on experience in the daily challenges, specific needs, and pain points of a development team.
  • Excellent knowledge and experience in building digital platforms.
  • Experience in developing a clear vision and strategy for a product portfolio that aligns with organizational goals.
  • Extensive experience in need analysis & product discovery, creating user stories, analytics, stakeholder management, project management.
  • Experience in leading and working with distributed agile product development teams and processes, from exploration/discovery to production release.
  • Analytical working method, data-driven decision making, and impact measurement.

  • Excellent communication skills with fluency in English.
  • Willingness to travel on a frequent basis.
