Job Title: Mainframe Testing Specialist

Are you a seasoned testing professional looking for a challenging opportunity? Do you have experience in mainframe testing and want to take your skills to the next level?

We are seeking a skilled Mainframe Testing Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our testing group, you will be responsible for designing and executing comprehensive test strategies, analyzing requirements, and identifying test scenarios.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop a detailed test plan document outlining scope and approach
  • Analyze business requirements to identify test cases and create test data
  • Prepare and execute test scripts, analyze results, and report issues
  • Collaborate with development teams to resolve errors and defects

Requirements:
Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • 6+ years of experience in testing lifecycle processes
  • Strong knowledge of editing JCL and creating batch jobs
  • Awareness of TSO/ISPF commands and Spool analysis
  • Ability to analyze COBOL programs and input/output files

Bonus Points:
  • Experience in STLC or Agile methodology
  • Ability to prepare test closure reports
  • Knowledge of DB2 and output file verification
