We are seeking a skilled professional to join our culinary team. As a key member, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking food items according to menu specifications and company recipes.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare all basic food items for the menu as directed by your supervisor.
- Must possess advanced knife handling skills.
- Must be able to work in any section of a kitchen environment.
- Must have a good understanding of culinary terms and concepts.
- Must be able to read, understand, follow, and prepare company recipes.
- Must be proficient in efficiently completing tasks and working productively.
- Always maintain a clean and organized workspace in accordance with public health standards.
- Reports for duty at assigned times and follows instructions from supervisors.
Key Qualifications:
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in an upscale hotel or cruise ship environment with at least 2 years as a culinary professional.
- A culinary degree is required.
- Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills are essential.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and computer software skills are also required.
Internal Candidate Requirements:
Completion of at least one contract as Commis Cook with a performance rating of satisfactory or above, along with demonstrated leadership skills.
