Accounts Receivable Specialist Job Description

Job Title: Accounts Receivable Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating and sending invoices, monitoring accounts, reconciling discrepancies, and maintaining accurate records of all A/R transactions.

  • Invoicing and Collections: Generate and send invoices to customers in accordance with U.S. GAAP standards, monitor accounts to ensure timely collection of outstanding balances, reconcile discrepancies, and resolve billing issues.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all A/R transactions, including invoices, payments, and credits.
  • Analytical Skills: Utilize analytical skills to gather and organize information, identify trends, and make recommendations for process improvements.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with customers regarding payments, verify invoices and expense reports for accuracy and compliance with U.S. GAAP.
  • Vendor Management: Prepare and process payments to vendors, reconcile vendor statements, and maintain vendor relationships.
  • Financial Reporting: Assist in month-end and year-end financial closing activities, prepare financial reports, and assist in financial analysis as required.
  • Process Improvement: Collaborate with the finance team to improve accounting processes and efficiency.

Candidate Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you must possess strong active listening and verbal communication skills, be comfortable working in a US night shift environment, and demonstrate organizational, detail-oriented, and independent work habits.
