Telecom Network Development EngineerAbout the Role:We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Telecom Network Development Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing scalable, secure, and high-performance software solutions using Python, with a focus on telecom applications.The ideal candidate will have expertise in data processing and analytics, API development, code optimization and review, testing and debugging, collaboration, documentation, and continuous improvement. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure project alignment with business goals.This is an excellent opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies, including 5G, DWDM/OTN, switching and routing, and other emerging technologies within the Python and telecom domains.Key Responsibilities:Design, develop, and implement software solutions using Python, focusing on telecom applications.Work on data processing and analysis techniques, including parsing, aggregating, and analyzing network data to extract actionable insights.Develop and maintain APIs for communication and integration with other platforms.Write clean, efficient, and reusable code, and participate in peer code reviews to maintain high standards.Develop and execute unit tests, integration tests, and debugging processes to ensure software meets quality standards.Requirements:Proficiency in Python programming with experience in Django frameworks.API development experience, especially with RESTful services and design patterns.Experience with data processing and analysis techniques in Python.Proficiency with MySQL and Postgres databases for handling large data sets.Version control (Git).Problem-solving skills, analytical mindset, and ability to troubleshoot complex software and telecom issues.Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration.Attention to detail and willingness to adapt to new tools, technologies, and processes as required.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with cloud services (AWS) is extra plus.Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.Experience in Optical Technologies like DWDM & network planning tool.Education:B.Tech/BE (CSE/ECE/EEE/IS) or any other equivalent degree.Additional Information:Tejas Networks is an equal opportunity employer.
