Job Title: Senior E-commerce Data Analyst

Location: India (Remote)

Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior E-commerce Data Analyst to drive data-backed decisions and provide actionable insights using comprehensive datasets from a variety of sources including Amazon, Google Analytics, Shopify, Klaviyo, TikTok, Gorgias, Yotpo reviews, and other similar platforms.


This position is critical to our strategic direction and will work closely with multiple teams to shape our e-commerce, marketing, and customer retention strategies. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of e-commerce data analysis, advanced analytics tools, and the ability to translate complex data into clear business recommendations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Data Analysis & Strategy

• Analyze and interpret data from various sources including our data warehouse, which consolidates customer data from Amazon, Google Analytics, Shopify, Klaviyo, TikTok, Gorgias, Yotpo, and other platforms.

• Identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform decision-making for marketing, customer experience, and e-commerce operations.

• Develop and implement data-driven strategies to optimize conversion rates, improve customer engagement, and maximize lifetime value.

  • Performance Measurement & Reporting

• Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) across all e-commerce channels, focusing on metrics that impact growth, conversion, retention, and revenue.

• Create detailed, visually compelling reports and dashboards to communicate findings and recommendations effectively to stakeholders.

• Use data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or similar) to present actionable insights clearly and concisely.

  • Customer Segmentation & Personalization

• Perform advanced segmentation analysis to understand customer behaviors, preferences, and lifetime value.

• Work with the marketing and product teams to create targeted and personalized experiences based on data insights, including recommendations for A/B testing and personalization strategies.

• Leverage customer segmentation to identify opportunities for cross-sell, up-sell, and re-engagement.

  • Predictive Analytics & Forecasting

• Utilize predictive analytics to forecast future trends, demand, and potential customer behavior patterns.

• Collaborate with product and inventory teams to ensure alignment between demand forecasts and supply planning.

• Design and implement predictive models that drive improved accuracy in marketing and inventory planning.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration

• Collaborate closely with marketing, product, and customer service teams to align data insights with business objectives and strategic initiatives.

• Provide actionable recommendations that influence campaign targeting, customer retention strategies, and product development.

• Work with the data engineering team to enhance data warehouse capabilities, ensuring access to high-quality, relevant data for analysis.

  • Process Improvement & Innovation

• Continuously improve data processes, analysis methodologies, and tools to enhance analytical efficiency and accuracy.

• Stay updated on the latest e-commerce trends, data analysis techniques, and tools to implement best practices.

• Propose and execute projects to test and measure new initiatives or strategies.Required


Skills & Qualifications

• Experience: 5+ years as a data analyst or in a similar analytical role, preferably in an e-commerce setting.

• Technical Skills:

• Proficiency with SQL and data warehouse querying.

• Advanced skills in Google Analytics, Tableau, Power BI, or similar data visualization tools.

• Experience with e-commerce platforms like Shopify, Amazon, and analytics tools like Klaviyo, Gorgias, and TikTok Analytics.

• Knowledge of A/B testing and personalization tools.

• Familiarity with customer review platforms (Yotpo, Trustpilot) for sentiment analysis.

• Analytical Skills: Strong quantitative and analytical abilities, with experience translating data into actionable insights and recommendations.

• Soft Skills:

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Collaborative and adaptable, with experience working cross-functionally.

• Self-motivated and proactive, with a strong focus on delivering results.
