Backend Developer RoleThis role involves building critical backend systems for global travel infrastructure. It includes architecting and developing search, pricing, booking, payments, and availability systems.ResponsibilitiesArchitect and develop scalable APIs using Java 11+, Spring Boot, JPA/Hibernate. Build APIs for hotels, flights, bookings, payments, and user systems.Build low-latency services for search, filtering, availability, and pricing. Integrate with internal pricing engines and caching systems. Work on booking flows requiring transactional correctness and reliability.Integrate with external travel suppliers, hotel partners, GDS/NDC APIs. Integrate with payment gateways. Handle API authentication, rate limits, SLA constraints, and failover logic.About the RoleThis is a high-ownership, high-impact role where you shape the core product that powers all user-facing flows.Requirements4+ years experience in backend developmentStrong proficiency in Java 11+, Spring Boot, REST APIsExperience designing and scaling microservicesStrong database skills (PostgreSQL/MySQL) including indexing & optimizationExperience with caching: Redis / ElastiCacheHands-on experience with queues: Kafka / RabbitMQ / SQS
