Backend Developer Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled Backend Developer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual who is passionate about building scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions using cloud-native technologies.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in PHP, MariaDB database design and optimization, RESTful API development, and Docker containerized application architecture. They should also be proficient in Agile/Scrum methodologies and have experience working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.Job Responsibilities:Design, implement, and maintain server-side application logic using PHP for the platform.Develop and maintain RESTful APIs to support frontend Angular applications and third-party integrations.Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms including MFA, SSO via SAML, and role-based access controls.Optimize application performance, database queries, and server-side logic for scalability.Requirements:Technical Skills:PHP (modern versions 7.4+, preferably PHP 8.x) and object-oriented programmingModern PHP frameworks (Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter)MariaDB/MySQL database management and optimizationRESTful API design and developmentGit and GitHubDocker and containerized application architectureLinux/Unix command line and server administrationSQL query optimization and database indexingAuthentication protocols (OAuth 2.0, SAML, JWT)Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP), design patterns, and SOLID principles.Deep understanding of database design, normalization, indexing, and query optimization.Strong knowledge of security best practices including OWASP Top 10, SQL injection prevention, and data encryption.
