Job Title: Product Manager - IPTV Video Platform & AI InitiativesLocation: Gurgaon / BengaluruExperience: 3-5 YearsTeam: Airtel Entertainment Ecosystem – Airtel Xstream Play, IPTV & DTHAirtel is seeking a passionate and technically-minded Product Manager to join our core IPTV platform team. In this role, you will support and drive key strategic initiatives across Platform Observability, IP-Based Broadcasting, and Advertising Technology (SSAI). You will have a direct opportunity to integrate AI and Machine Learningsolutions to make our systems smarter, more efficient, and truly predictive.You’ll be responsible for executing the product strategy for these critical platform capabilities, working closely with dedicated engineering teams to deliver robust, scalable, and impactful solutions.What You’ll Do• Support the development and execution of the product roadmap for Observability, IP Broadcasting, and Ad Tech (SSAI), ensuring alignment with overall platform objectives and reliability goals.• Manage all aspects of the product delivery lifecycle for your assigned initiatives, from concept and requirements gathering to development, launch, and post-launch performance analysis.• Translate complex technical challenges into clear, concise product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for engineering teams.• Lead active discussions with technology vendors and partners (e.g., CDNs, encoding providers, ad tech vendors) to evaluate capabilities, negotiate features, and drive integration priorities.• Proactively engage with B2B partners and enterprise clients to understand their needs, pain points, and use cases, translating them into actionable platform requirements.• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, data science, operations, and business teams to ensure seamless product delivery and adoption.• Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for products, regularly reporting on their impact and identifying areas for improvement.• Champion the integration of AI/ML capabilities across charters to drive predictive analytics, automation, and intelligent decision-making.Domain-Specific Initiatives• Observability & QoE: Define requirements for monitoring tools and dashboards; analyze data to identify QoE trends; collaborate on AI/ML models for predictive alerting and root cause analysis.• Broadcasting via IP: Contribute to projects enhancing the reliability of our IPbased linear TV delivery; gather requirements for new video formats and protocols; support AI initiatives for encoding optimization.• Advertising Technology (SSAI): Work with ad operations to streamline SSAI workflows and improve monetization; support AI/ML initiatives for ad targeting and yield optimization.What You'll Bring• 3-5 years of experience in product management, product ownership, or a highly technical role with product-related responsibilities.• Direct experience in one or more of the following: video streaming technologies (OTT/IPTV), advertising technology (SSAI, VAST, VMAP), or large-scale distributed system observability.• A solid foundational understanding of the video streaming ecosystem: codecs (H.264/HEVC), packaging (HLS, DASH), CDNs, and media players (e.g., ExoPlayer, AVPlayer, VideoJS).• Proven experience in requirement gathering and directly managing discussions with clients, partners, or vendors.• Exposure to or a strong interest in AI/ML concepts and how they can be applied to solve real-world product challenges.• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.• A proactive, "get-things-done" attitude and a deep curiosity for how complex systems work.Join us in building the future of television, leveraging AI to create unparalleled reliability and experiences for millions of users across India
