Job DescriptionThe Director of Frontend Engineering oversees the Web Fabric initiative – defining architecture, scaling teams, and ensuring low-latency, high-quality user experience across all products.This leader manages 10+ engineers and managers, aligning with Data Engineering and ML/API teams to deliver end-to-end reliability and performance.Develop and evolve frontend architecture and component strategy.Manage 10+ frontend engineers and managers to deliver high-velocity React / Next.js applications.Produce architecture documents, design specs, and implementation plans for executive review.Align architecture and delivery roadmaps with Data, ML and API teams.Establish frontend engineering best practices for CI/CD, testing, observability, and release automation.Define and track KPIs for velocity, UX performance, and developer productivity.Required Skills and QualificationsMust Have Qualifications:6+ years of engineering experience (2+ in leadership managing 10+ engineers).Deep experience with React, Next.js, TypeScript or similar modern frameworks.Demonstrated success building and operating large-scale frontend platforms.Strong foundation in CI/CD automation and frontend observability.Proven ability to write architecture docs and run design reviews.Nice to Have Qualifications:Design-system implementation, SSR/SSG optimization, RUM analytics.Experience with real-time frontends (websockets, live data).Familiarity with Vercel, CloudFront, and modern deployment pipelines.
